Meet Our Team
HelpCare is run by a small team of staff and interns. Our staff oversee volunteers and clinic operations.
Becky Squiers, MPH
With a background in public health and communication, I have a good understanding of the need for the services of the HelpCare Clinic. I hope to help our organization continue to fill this important need for uninsured, impoverished individuals in our community.
I’m originally a Kearney native, and I’m excited to be part of this ministry here in my hometown. I love doing work that truly makes a difference. I enjoy being around people who feel the same. The mission of HelpCare, and it’s incredible base of volunteer and community support is a blessing not only to me, but to our entire community.
Becky earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a concentration in health communication and social marketing. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication and biology from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MIssouri.
Lisa Guthrie, RN
Patient Care Coordinator
Lisa earned her Nursing Diploma, Licensed Practical Nurse licensure, and eventually Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Colby Community College (Colby, Kan.). She began her healthcare career in Estes Park Hospital and has since worked in many fields of healthcare. Lisa is responsible for the clinic’s functions including patient care and follow up, as well as volunteer guidance and support.
Julie Keaschall, APRN
Julie is the only paid provider on staff at HelpCare. She is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), and sees patients during our daytime clinics. Julie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
HelpCare Clinic is not currently hiring for any full-time positions. At various times throughout the year, we do have internship and
UNK work-study positions available. Please email a cover letter and resume to [email protected] for more information.
