Kearney, Neb. – Office supply company All Makes, announced HelpCare Clinic as the winner of the All Makes 100 Year, $100k Office Makeover Contest. The contest provides four nonprofits in four midwestern cities with $25,000 each, as well as support in updating their office spaces.
HelpCare Clinic would like to thank All Makes, as well as the local community members who voted online throughout the contest. The winner for each city was announced online on July 9.
“We are so overwhelmed by the community support we’ve received throughout this contest,” said Becky Squiers, executive director for the HelpCare Clinic. “It’s been a blessing to see employees, volunteers and patients alike sharing our name with their friends and taking the time to vote for us.”
HelpCare Clinic plans to use the resources provided by All Makes to help improve patient intake and administration. Right now, the clinic utilizes office furniture and equipment that has been donated by generous community organizations. An updated office space will not only help improve the functionality of the clinic, but will allow the organization to allocate funds to other priority areas.
Along with four other Kearney nonprofits, HelpCare Clinic was announced as a finalist on May 14. From that time until the contest closed on June 29, community members could vote each day for their favorite finalist. HelpCare Clinic had the most votes at the end of the voting period.
The contest was designed to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of All Makes. Earlier this year, nominations were accepted for deserving nonprofits in each of All Makes’ locations: Omaha, Lincoln, and Kearney, Neb., as well as Des Moines, Iowa.
